IT consolidation of an ERP system

Project context

Our customer is a global top-3 provider of telecommunication solutions. Due to a merger, the need to consolidate two fully grown IT landscapes came up. Complex production and logistics processes of a worldwide acting company had to be combined into a single system. Besides technical issues, regional laws and regulations had to be taken into account as well as existing contracts with clients and delivery commitments.

Our contributions

The major focus of our contributions to this project was to provide project management services. Furthermore, we have supported the redefinition of distribution processes for facilities of our customer and have led a “distribution logistics” team executing the following tasks:

  • Coordination of work items within the distribution logistics team
  • Cooperation and alignment with activities of other teams, concept and process owners, project managers, test managers, migration managers and change management teams
  • Analysis of processes and decision points
  • Coordination and execution of trainings for new processes and activities
  • Support during the introduction phase of new processes
