aditerna at SISO Fall SIW 2012

Published 18 September 2012

The annual Fall Simulation Interoperability Workshop (SIW) of the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organisation (SISO) took place from 10-14 September 2012 in Orlando, USA. Approximately 200 participants from industry, academia and government discussed current topics in the area of modelling and simulation, and the many SISO working groups met to advance the standardization efforts.

On behalf of aditerna Mr Robert Siegfried attended the workshop and presented a joint paper of aditerna and several partners which addresses “Components and reuse in scenario development processes for distributed simulation environments”. The presented problems and solution approaches regarding the scenario development within the simulation environment engineering process gained much interest in the audience.

The high relevance of the presented ideas is acknowledged by the best paper award (the so-called “SIWzie”) for the joint paper presented by Mr Robert Siegfried at 2012 Spring SIW which addresses the same topic area.

We cordially thank all of our partners for the excellent cooperation:

  • Alexander Laux (Führungsunterstützungsschule der Bundeswehr)
  • Martin Rother, Dieter Steinkamp (IABG mbH)
  • Günter Herrmann (ITIS GmbH)
  • Johannes Lüthi (FH KufsteinTirol)
  • Matthias Hahn (Bundesamt für Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung)
